Storage & Delivery FAQ

1. Can I keep items in storage past your "30 days free" storage offer?
2. When will I get my delivery?
3. How can I find out the status of my shipment?
4. What if some of my items get damaged?
5. How much time do I have to file a claim once the move is done?

1. Can I keep items in storage past your "30 days free" storage offer?
Yes, you can store your items as long as you need. But keep in mind that there is a daily fee involved once your "30 days free" are over. For your convenience we offer storage at our LA, NY, and SF facilities.

2. When will I get my delivery?
Once your shipment has arrived at our facility, you will be contacted by the dispatch office to schedule a delivery date and time. We are unable to pre-schedule deliveries while the shipment is in transit. If you would like to pre-schedule a delivery, you may purchase a "guaranteed delivery date" service at the time of booking your move.

3. How can I find out the status of my shipment?
Once your shipment is in transit, you will receive daily "shipment status" emails (only Mon to Fri) - informing you of your shipment location. You can also email/call our customer service department for updates. Please keep in mind that it might take few days after pick up to start receiving email updates.

4. What if some of my items get damaged?
The Department of Transportation (DOT) mandates all moving companies to provide free basic insurance with each move. This insurance values all lost or damaged goods at sixty cents per pound per item. All moving companies are required to provide the exact same insurance. Aside from the basic insurance, it is also common to buy a full value replacement insurance from a 3rd party (highly recommend). For more information, please speak to your sales representative.

5. How much time do I have to file a claim once the move is done?
Per The Department of Transportation's (DOT) regulations, you have up to nine months from your delivery date to file a claim. This allows you to comfortably unpack and inspect your shipment. Keep in mind that this timeline does not apply to third party insurance policies. If purchased, you would need to check with them directly.
